Civil Engineer - Entry level - Lansing

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for providing engineering support for the water/wastewater group. Typical projects include a wide variety of municipal water/wastewater projects involving collection and conveyance systems, pump stations, storage and treatment facilities, and rehabilitation. 


  • Assist development of plans and design water/wastewater treatment, distribution/conveyance, pumping, and storage facilities;
  • Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses;
  • Assist preparing detailed engineering reports and supporting documents;
  • Assist Design Team to prepare construction drawings, specifications and cost estimates;
  • Provide onsite resident engineer responsibilities during the construction of project to ensure contract design and specifications are being followed
  • Review submittals from contractors for conformance with engineering specifications and drawings and respond to requests for additional information;
  • Perform engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings, documenting design modifications, and coordinating with the design team;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 


  • Minimum 0 to 4 years of experience
  • Civil or Environmental Engineering Degree required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel, word processing and scheduling programs
