Application Specialist


Summary:

Monitors all aspects of a product life-cycle, including long and short-term development and marketing. Stays abreast of trends in the marketplace to ensure the product's competitive position. Interfaces with project managers and clients to determine the product's future direction.

Job Responsibilities:

* Become an NextGen Applications expert, developing a firm grasp on the implementation process and product solutions.
* Lead our customers through a defined implementation process with a focus on customer enablement.
* Build and configure NextGen applications based on customer requirements, Upgrades Center of Excellence Best Practices, and industry standards, to ensure optimal use and product value.
* Communicate effectively around success criteria within the project team and external stakeholders.
* Advise our customers on best practices and understand/document their goals.
* Recognize, communicate, and mitigate any project risks for upcoming go live dates.
* Support our customers with any go live questions, challenges or concerns they may have throughout the upgrade period and post go live.
* Own and resolve all client issues pre-and post-go live to ensure a successful transition to support.

Education

Required:

* Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: Computer science, Business Administration or related field
* Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.

Experience

Required:

* 2+ years of experience in healthcare industry including medical sales, consulting, account management, and private practice.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule and the hours necessary, including some night and weekend hours, based on client need to accomplish job responsibilities and deliverables
* Ability to travel up to 50% for essential business needs only in accordance to public health, client, potential client, and NextGen Healthcare safety protocols and requirements where applicable, to reduce risks during and after travel which may include vaccinations, masks, social distancing, quarantines, and any Client Site/Facility requirements regardless of personal preference (some clients may require an employee to be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination before being allowed on site)
