In this position, you will: Direct, manage and evaluate Inpatient Cancer Care Services on a 24/7 basis from multiple sites in a manner that meets safe patient care, continuous quality improvement, customer service, programmatic growth and financial requirements supporting the mission of Seattle Children’s Hospital. Provide leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives for services including operations, patient flow, facilities, capital and operating budgets, and staffing. Direct and manage contracted services to meet patient and organization needs. Develop, implement and manage strategic plan to respond to anticipated trends, changes in treatment, economics or patient needs. Develop and sustain interdisciplinary relationships, committees and manage special projects that contribute to program development Required Education/Experience: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - Master's degree in Nursing; may be substituted with a Master’s in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field provided the candidate also possesses a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Candidates currently enrolled in a Master’s program will be considered. Individual must complete program within three years in position and maintain solid performance). - Minimum five (5) years of leadership experience in a health care setting. Required Credentials: - Current Washington State RN license. - Must obtain national certification in a clinical specialty area or leadership within three years. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. Current PEARS or PALS certification will be accepted in lieu of BLS. - A copy of graduate degree in Nursing or transcripts indicating attainment of Master's degree in nursing is to be on record with Human Resources upon hire. If Master's degree is in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field, a copy of the degrees or transcripts indicating attainment of a Master's degree and Bachelor's in Nursing degree is to be on record with Human Resources upon hire. If Master's degree is in process, a copy of the Bachelor's degree in Nursing or transcripts indicating attainment of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a notation of expected Master's completion date is to be on file with Human Resources upon hire. In accordance with new Washington law for healthcare workers, Seattle Children’s requires that all staff be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 on or before October 18, 2021, or before beginning employment for start dates after October 18th.
