Job Description
Director, Value Analysis
The department of Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Director, Value Analysis at the UHealth Campus. The Director, Value Analysis oversees assessment and approval processes for the acquisition of clinical products, equipment, services, and technology resulting in the selection of the highest quality supplies and services to be used in fulfilling the Universityís mission. The goal of optimizing supply chain clinical and non-clinical value across UHealth as a whole is the fundamental responsibility. Organizing and leading a strategic system wide value analysis process across multiple service lines and departments with the goal of providing a cross functional and collaborative high performing, efficient and cost-effective process.
Develops an evidence-based value process for clinical products, services, equipment, and technology to support the alignment of system objectives, strategic goals, and control of system spend.
Monitors target project completion dates and implemented savings by Value Analysis Committee, Primary Lead, Project Status, and by Initiative to ensure annual Value Analysis savings and outcomes goals are achieved.
Facilitates relationships with physicians, key stakeholders, and executives to optimize the value for the UHealth related to value analysis initiatives (supplies and purchased services).
Serves as a liaison between department, internal customers, and vendors to communicate and resolve issues, including product conversions, inventory control practices, contract management, and vendor support.
Directs product/service introduction, investigation, analysis, education, conversion, issues, and tracking projected outcomes.
Establishes cost savings, clinical quality, and outcome initiatives that are collaborative, and results driven.
Identifies supply and service standardization and utilization opportunities.
Develops recommended solutions for potential Value Analysis barriers.
Keeps current on technology, regulatory and operational trends in the health care, academic industry and value analysis strategies which may impact product/service utilization or Value Analysis processes.
In conjunction with Strategic Sourcing, oversees Value Analysis Committees and teams for supplies and services, including leading and facilitating New Product Requests, and optimizes group purchasing organization contract portfolio.
Collaborates with the Executive Value Analysis Committee (EVAC), key stakeholders, executives, risk committee, finance, legal, IT, and other department leaders to review and implement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
Clinical Certification/License or, Bachelorís degree in relevant field or, Masterís Degree Preferred.
Certified Value Analysis Healthcare Professional (CVAHP) Preferred
5-7 years of relevant experience in management.
Experience:
Preferred Clinician (RN, Scrub Tech, Radiology Tech, PharmD, Surgical Assistant, Physician Assistant)
Experience with Value Analysis across multiple organizations.
Healthcare experience is required, with previous budgetary responsibilities and/or experience.
Value Analysis management or consulting experience in a large, operationally complex health system is required (supplies and purchased services).
Consensus-building and strong collaboration experience.
