Principal Gifts and Campaign Management Coordinator Job Summary Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Principal Gifts and Campaign Director, and working closely with the Vice Chancellor for Advancement and the Chancellor’s Deputy Chief of Staff, the Principal Gifts and Campaign Management Coordinator is responsible for project management, event planning, vendor management, and operational support for the Principal Gifts program and the university’s comprehensive capital campaign. The Principal Gifts program oversees relationship development for prospects capable of giving $1,000,000+ to the University, and the campaign seeks to raise $600 million to support the university’s most critical priorities. With a high level of visibility to key internal and external stakeholders, including members of the University of Massachusetts Amherst Foundation Board, this position works to keep the programs on schedule and progressing. The Coordinator promotes UMass Amherst priorities, presents a positive image to constituents, and advances the University’s, and Advancement’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This position may have the opportunity to work remotely from the New England region. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure) -Bachelor’s degree. -Two (2) years of work experience that includes project and event management. -Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. -Proven ability to interact frequently and professionally with a variety of constituents, with multiple interests and varying levels of authority. -Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced results-oriented environment. -Excellent knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database management, presentation, scheduling, and email applications. -Detail- and results-oriented with strong anticipatory instincts; a self-starter who takes initiative, demonstrates unfailing follow-through. -Comfort and professionalism when interacting with high-net worth individuals. -Ability to maintain discretion, and strict confidentiality when dealing with senior university leadership and university supporters. -Ability and willingness to work evenings and/or weekends, and to travel throughout the country as required.- Contact Information
