  • Manage budgets and resources, including skilled professionals, and achieve activity goals.

  • Typically requires BS with 10+ years of experience, Masters with equivalent experience
  • May manage substantial budgets, but nature of budget more important than amount; more typically responsible for managing within the budget rather than setting resource priorities
  • Many of these positions typically manage small professional staffs. May have Manager 1 reporting into this position

  • May administer substantial budgets but nature of budget more important than amount; however, responsibility is for project management and delivering within budget rather than having discretion on expenditures and priorities.
  • Some positions may, instead, exercise more oversight over a slightly smaller budget
  • Most positions manage a small staff of professional employees Ė usually less than 5.
