Key Account Manager - NYC

about this team
Key Account Managers grow our wholesale business by cultivating relationships with 7-10 of the most influential brands and partners that acquire a new guest for lululemon, provide a competitive barrier, and retain current guests. Examples of Key Accounts include but not limited to: AARMY, DogPound, Y7, Forward Space, and Xponential Fitness (PureBarre, Rumble, AKT, and YogaSix)

a day in the life: what you'll do
  • Always looking ahead for innovative and strategic ways to support lululemon's growth as a brand
  • Identify business trends and unique opportunities, while elevating the existing partner performance in the portfolio
    • First point of contact for key influential partners. Face of lululemon for the various ways we work with these partners outside of the standard product buys. (Partner examples- AARMY, DogPound, Y7, Forward Space, and Xponential Fitness (PureBarre, Rumble, AKT, and YogaSix)
    • Work with all cross-functional partners to share strategic initiatives and understand the unique needs of each partner.
    • Manage partner Value in Kind budget with each partner while supporting retail and uniform strategy.
  • Collaboration with internal community, marketing, key city team, and brand partners on strategies with key accounts that promotes driving traffic back to lululemon and/or promoting new products and categories (example- footwear launch)
  • Committed to a 360 approach in supporting partners in their development + growth of their business.
  • Always looking for opportunities to make partners feel valued for being a part of the Key Account program
  • Responsible for driving and increasing open to buy dollars while consistently meeting the sales targets through relationship management and strategic selling.
  • Support accounts through the quarterly product buy review process (4 times per year) focusing on the right styles to tailor to specific partner needs and provide insights around orders and inventory management
  • An entrepreneurial thinker with a commitment to operating a diverse and inclusive business in line with our impact agenda.
  • Responsible for managing the opex controllable budget quarterly in travel, product testing, meals and entertainment, local classes and creativity, and the buy review budget.

qualifications
  • Retail store or regional manager experience
  • Account Management experience is preferred but not required
  • Self Motivated, passionate, detail-oriented, multi-tasker, and thrives in fast paced environment creating from net new
  • Excellent communication skills- interpersonal, written and verbal
  • Demonstrates willingness to learn on the job- has a 'growth' mindset
  • Acknowledges the presence of choice in every moment and takes personal responsibility of their life
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great results
  • Communicates with honesty and kindness, and creates the space for others to do the same

  • 4 Year College Degree
