Sr. Analyst Commercial Operations

Position Summary:

As the Senior Sales Operations Analyst you are a critical business partner reporting to the Director, Commercial Operations. The role is analyzing commercial data and providing insights on sales performance across multiple business units guiding IES to achieve our annual operating plan. Being part of global commercial operations you will take an active role in how we deploy and manage success of strategic projects in the commercial organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete in-depth analysis to understand and determine key drivers of sales performance

  • Translate data analysis and sales metrics to guide sales execution

  • Lead the accuracy and validity of performance metrics to independently measure, calculate and submit commission payouts

  • Partner with sales leadership team to develop arguments, make decisions in line with IES strategy, and drive the implementation of approved plans

  • In alignment and partnership with the global commercial operation team, standardize our commercial key performance indicators, reports & operating rhythms

  • Partner with marketing, finance, Sales and operations team to deploy strategic projects such as strategic pricing initiatives and incentive programs

  • Align with our Strategic pricing COE and marketing teams in how we secure accurate pricing across all countries and regions

  • Prepare executive level reports and insights to support the commercial analytics team to move ad-hoc and manual reporting into automated insights in Power BI or embedded in Salesforce.com

  • Compile, review and maintain sales quota allocation

  • Present findings and recommendations to the Commercial team

  • Partner with finance colleagues to ensure alignment on financial metrics and overarching business goals

  • Report performance to AOP providing bookings and revenue forecasting

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or equivalent education, a high school diploma is required

  • Minimum five years of dynamic data analytics or sales operations is preferred

  • Expertise in providing meaningful data analysis/metrics to sales leadership

  • Proficiency in an ERP environment (SAP preferable), with sophisticated Excel skills

  • Proven experience to perform in a fast paced, changing environment and in setting priorities

  • Estimated up to 20% travel
