We are seeking Evaluation Consultants to work with us. Consultants generally work on two to three projects at a time across our broad portfolio of work as well as assist in proposal writing and new business development. Topic areas may include HIV and infectious diseases, women and childrenís health, health equity, social determinants of health, substance use disorder, health systems, access to care, health policy, and emergency preparedness. While we will prioritize experience in one or more of these areas in our candidate search, the critical skills we are seeking are related to program evaluation. The Evaluation Consultant will work with clients and project staff to develop and implement evaluation designs, collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, develop findings and recommendations, and communicate findings in written and oral formats. We expect the Evaluation Consultant to work collaboratively with team members and be able to lead and follow through on various evaluation implementation tasks. -Collaborate with team members to develop evaluation designs, including evaluation frameworks, logic models, data collection methodologies, qualitative and quantitative data analysis plans, IRB applications, OMB clearance applications, and outlines of reports and other communication products
-Establish processes, timelines, and teams to implement evaluation designs
-Develop data collection tools and data management processes
-Conduct primary data collection and management through surveys, focus groups, key informant interviews, observations, and other processes
-Analyze, synthesize, and visualize data using qualitative (e.g., NVivo) or quantitative (e.g., SAS, Stata, R) analysis software
-Collaborate with team members to develop and document findings and recommendations
-Develop evaluation reports and other communication products to share results
-Communicate with clients and other stakeholders throughout the process in a responsive and respectful manner
-Present results to various audiences, including at conferences, in webinars, in peer reviewed journals, and in other settings
-Assist in the development and writing of proposals for new business development
-Contribute to the growth, expertise, and institutional knowledge related to program evaluation and the professional growth of staff in this area
-Masters degree with 3-8 years experience in program evaluation or Ph.D with 1-5 years experience in program evaluation
-Strong foundation in quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed-method program evaluation methods, and data management
-Broad understanding of health care, health policy and health equity issues in the United States
-Excellent written and oral communication skills, including an ability to translate study findings for an array of audiences
-Strong interest in working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary, and team environment that emphasizes quality, rigor, critical thinking, objectivity, diversity and inclusion, equity, and professional development
-Strong organizational skills, ability to work on multiple projects with multiple project directors, and work independently and proactively with minimal supervision
-Experience in facilitating meetings, planning, and processes
-Comfort with the MS Office package, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
-Experience in one or more of JSIís portfolio areas strongly desired
-Experience working with federal or state health agencies strongly desired
