Futures Program
Position: Futures Associate

The Futures Program is a full time, two-year rotational development program for high potential individuals starting their professional careers and provides exposure to different areas of our business. These areas of business include Investment Management, Fiduciary Trust High Net Worth, Global Advisory Services, and more. Associate development is a key goal of the program and is achieved through engagement in purposeful work, network building and mentoring.
An ideal Futures Associate is intellectually curious, thrives in research and analysis, strives to grow as an active learner, and wants to make a positive impact on our business. Futures Associates come from a wide range of backgrounds and bring with them a unique perspective that when applied to solving difficult challenges allows them to propose thoughtful and novel solutions.

How it Works:
The Program consists of six 4-month rotations within different departments. Each rotation promotes career development and fosters professional acumen through contributions to the goals of the department. The Programís rotational structure provides a variety of in-depth perspectives, encouraging Associates to explore a range of potential career paths. Associates are exposed to project-related and/or analytical assignments while supporting the rotational area initiatives. Development consists of on-the-job experience and a wide variety of robust training and networking opportunities.
After the two-year period, the program aims to place Associates into a permanent role.

Mentorship:
Mentoring is a key component of the Program. A senior Franklin Templeton leader will work with each Associate to:
  • Accelerate onboarding into the Program,
  • Provide networking opportunities and create connections within Franklin Templetonís inclusive culture,
  • Assist in making career decisions with a long-term view.
  • Futures Associates will join our New York City, NY, San Mateo, CA, or Ft. Lauderdale, FL offices in July 2023.

The characteristics of an ideal Futures Associate include:
  • Minimum of Bachelorís level degree completed by June 2023 in Finance, Economics, Business or related areas
  • Adaptability with capacity for differentiated thinking
  • Data and digital fluency
  • Agility for learning, able to synthesize ideas and information to form a bigger picture
  • Analytical, problem-solving and leadership abilities
  • Growth-oriented mindset and comfort with ambiguity
  • Ability to work with many constituents and stakeholders at all levels
  • Commitment to excellence and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated interest working within the financial services industry
