Job Description
Full-Time Lecturer in Psychology
The Department of Psychology at Tufts University is seeking applicants for a full-time (non-tenure-track) lecturer in Psychology to begin September 1, 2023. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate core courses in research methods and/or statistics, teaching electives in any subfield specialty, advising undergraduates across our five department majors (Psychology, Biopsychology, Clinical Psychology, Cognitive & Brain Science, Engineering Psychology), and departmental service. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. (or be ABD) in psychology or a related discipline. Special consideration will be given to applicants with a demonstrated professional commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion priorities. Teaching load will be six courses per year, with opportunities for workload reduction related to service and advising.
This is an academic year, benefitted, non-tenure-track 2-year position and is renewable contingent upon performance. Lecturers at Tufts University are unionized (https://access.tufts.edu/collective-bargaining-agreements) with the potential for long-term careers with promotional advancement within the Lecturer ranks.
