Senior Control Management Specialist - Consumer Lending Issue Verification Data Analytics

Wells Fargo is Seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist...

In this role you will:

  • Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area
  • Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls
  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
  • Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk
  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Risk Analytics, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience
  • Experience with consumer lending business processes, systems and related data repositories
  • Experience using Tableau, Power BI or other Business Intelligence tools
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy              
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills              
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques   
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment      
  • Ability to prepare presentations, management reporting using data visualization best practices
  • Ability to understand business processes and the technical aspects of various systems/IT needed for risk reporting
  • Ability to obtain and manipulate data from non-normalized/disparate data sources

Job Expectations:

  • This role will be a key contributor to the Front Line Issue Verification team in Wells Fargo Consumer Lending by developing solutions for analytic, data, and business support.
  • They will collaborate with business partners and internal teams to develop and design analytics solutions and tests for the Wells Fargo Consumer Lending organization involving delivering data solutions primarily for risk management validations.
  • This person will be engaged in driving adoption of emerging key risks and will also be responsible for documenting their analysis for the business validations.
  • The role will include developing analytic solutions leveraging multiple systems of record. 
  • The role will also develop dashboards using Tableau desktop and Tableau Server. 
  • Strong experience in data wrangling from sources like Teradata and Oracle will be important skills for this role.

Salary Range:

$84,000-$149,0000 base annual salary depending on experience.
