Manager of Consumer Insights Job Title: Manager, Consumer Insights Department: Business Intelligence Reports To: Sr. Director, Business Intelligence Position Summary: The Manager of Consumer Insights will be responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative research with the FC Cincinnati fanbase (with a primary focus on qualitative). This includes leading and moderating focus groups, conducting regular surveys, and presenting findings to key stakeholders to collaborate and develop programs and initiatives for short and long-term growth of the fanbase. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of qualitative research, interest in the practical application of insights to help inform better business decisions, and experience with professional sports. What You'll Do: Identify and roadmap the requisite infrastructure and vendors for collecting, storing, managing, and processing data from fan research Developing and coordinating both fan and market focus groups to gain feedback Build and maintain dashboard reporting for internal stakeholders Manage internal and external surveys Identify KPIs to measure the success and effectiveness of fan development programs and optimizing against benchmarks as-needed Provide ad hoc reporting & analysis from multiple data sources Collaborate with Media and Content and Game Presentation departments to provide insight into different ways to appeal to various growth demographics while engaging fans year-round Work with Communications, Community Relations, Foundation, and Marketing to build programs to capitalize on growing the fanbase Identify best practices both within and outside of the sports industry to define how the club can best use data to drive more-informed business decisions Effectively communicate data insights and strategic recommendations through oral and written presentations to senior-level business executives Demonstrate creative thinking and a willingness to bring new ideas to senior-level business executives Other duties as assigned What You'll Need: 3+ years experience in qualitative research, marketing or marketing analytics, and/or a business intelligence role with preferably 1-2 years analyzing qualitative data Bachelors Degree with a background in statistics, psychology, and/or marketing (advanced degree preferred, but not required) Project management experience Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau is preferred Experience with building statistical models such as clustering, segmentation, item response theory, etc. is preferred Experience with programming/statistical languages such as R and SQL is preferred Experience in the sports industry is a plus What You'll Bring: Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to translate complex insights into tactical recommendations Interest and ability to keep pace with latest business intelligence and marketing trends and developments (both within and outside of the sports industry) Ability to work outside of regular business hours including but not limited to weekends and holidays as required by the FCC game schedule, special events, and projects Why You'll Love FCC: Generous paid time off including vacation, personal, sick, and holiday time Option for one work from home day per week (by department and schedule) Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k plan with company match Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Insurance Maternity & Paternity Leave and Family Building Benefit Employee Assistance Program Discount off merchandise in team store Community volunteer opportunities Professional development opportunities Frequent team building opportunities Employee recognition programs and referral programs Opportunity for complimentary staff tickets to home FC Cincinnati matches About FC Cincinnati: FC Cincinnati is a Major League Soccer team playing at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio.
