Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as our Director of Administration. This position is part of the OWASA executive team, participates in the general management, administration, and leadership of OWASA.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing all internal and external communications by setting the overall strategic vision and evaluating the effectiveness of the organization’s communications efforts.
Managing all aspects of billing, collection, and customer service and customer assistance program by ensuring fair and equitable distribution of funds to those in need; assessing the adequacy of funding versus needs for assistance and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as internal policies.
Providing coaching and mentoring; ensuring professional growth and development opportunities are provided to staff; directly managing the Public Information Officer and Customer Service Manager positions, indirectly managing nine members of the communications and customer service team.
Developing budgets and plans; fostering relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Serving as Incident Commander during emergency situations.

Salary Range is $128,424 - $192,637

Successful candidates should have:
Minimum of seven years’ experience in Communications/Customer Relations with three years’ experience in a supervisory/leadership role. Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
