Job Summary:
Join us in providing life-changing care to patients from across the region as a Nurse Practitioner in our Outpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in providing psychiatric services to patients in a clinic setting.

Schedule: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday

Location: Downtown Clinic, 555 N 30th St, Omaha, NE 68131

Major Responsibilities & Duties:

Provide individualized medical care to patients in the ambulatory clinic setting, including history collection, physical and mental health assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
Offer psychiatric health services, education, counseling, and emotional support in the Psychiatry Clinic.
Demonstrate age-specific competencies in care provision.
Order necessary diagnostic tests and utilize results for appropriate treatment.
Perform procedures such as I&D, splinting, suturing, or simple lesion removal, as applicable.
Complete thorough documentation of patient visits in the electronic medical record.
Order pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments as indicated.
Respond to onsite emergencies and provide prompt and appropriate care until EMS arrives.
Provide relevant education and discharge instructions to patients and families.
Consult with physicians and hospitalists as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree in nursing with previous clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
Licensed as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the State of Nebraska.
ANCC certification (or eligibility to take the exam) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for Psychiatry Clinic assignment.
Experience using an electronic medical record.
CPR certification.
