Associate Director of Admissions
Starting Date: July 1, 2024 Job Description: 12-month, Full-Time, Exempt, Administrative Associate Position
The Cambridge School of Weston seeks a full-time Associate Director of Admissions to begin on/around July 1. A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills; will value progressive, student-centered education; and will demonstrate an ability to make strong connections with students and families and an interest in engaging in school and campus life. This position requires an individual to demonstrate initiative and be able to work independently. A strong candidate will also add to the diversity of experience or perspectives within the admissions team.
Specific responsibilities for this position include:*
● Supporting the school’s strategy for recruiting boarding students.
● Traveling to represent CSW at recruiting events.
● Cultivating and managing relationships with educational consultants, placement directors, and sending schools.
● Participating in all stages of the admissions funnel: interviewing prospective students and their families, overseeing follow-up with inquiries/applicants, and participating in admissions committee meetings.
● Planning and executing live and virtual events.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Qualifications
● Minimum three years of experience in an admissions office, independent school, or related field.
● Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
● Experience with technology, including databases, and a willingness to utilize multiple systems.
● Availability to work some nights and weekends throughout the recruitment cycle to support events.
● Ability to handle complex and confidential materials.
● Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
● Physically able to lift 20 pounds and conduct walking tours of the school campus.
● Valid driver's license and ability to drive

Preferred:
● Experience working in a boarding-day independent school and recruiting domestic and/or international boarding students.
● Facility working with a diverse faculty, staff, student body, and applicant pool.
● Proficiency in more than one language.
● Experience recruiting and working with populations that have been historically underrepresented in independent schools.
