Job Description
Arizona State University, a leader in innovative education, seeks a dynamic AI Learning Specialist to join the Learning Experience (LX) Design team. This role is pivotal in exploring, evaluating, and supporting the implementation of generative artificial intelligence technologies to enhance teaching and learning across the university. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of developing AI-enabled educational resources and programs, fostering a culture of inclusion, and contributing to student success on a large scale. This position requires a passion for cutting-edge technology, a deep understanding of instructional challenges in technology-based learning, and a commitment to creating impactful, accessible learning experiences.

Essential Duties
AI Tool Workshops and Engagements
Design and deliver high-quality, public-facing workshops on AI tools, aligning with official university messaging and visual brand standards.
AI for Teaching and Learning Curricular Development
Collaborate with institutional teams to develop AI curricular interventions, including modules, mini-courses, and other learning experiences as needed.
AI Tool Resource Development
Create brand-standard, templated resources such as start guides, toolkits, multimedia resources, and teaching and learning use cases to support AI tool integration.
AI Tool Assessment for Teaching and Learning
Collaborate with the Enterprise Technology AI Acceleration group to make data-driven recommendations for educational applications and conduct studies exploring how AI impacts teaching and learning.
AI Learning Special Projects
Lead broad applications for special topics or projects related to emergent AI tools with supervisor approval.
Community Engagement
Foster an AI fluent university community through workshops, special events, and a community of practice around AI in education.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field AND Three (3) years of providing learning/instructional design and/or technology development services. Or, any equivalent combination of experience or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. 

Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of trends in educational technologies with a focus on AI technologies and emerging educational technologies.
Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design principles for adult learning.
Experience in project management, capable of handling tasks with multiple and overlapping deadlines.
Experience explaining technical concepts in non-technical terms to diverse stakeholder groups.
Experience in using problem-solving skills with the ability to apply critical and logical analysis.
Experience in fostering a safe and inclusive working and learning environment.
Evidence of commitment to sustainability and leading by example in supporting institutional programs.

Working Environment
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds. 
Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include or are subject to resolution of conflicts.

Days and Schedule: Tempe Campus 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Hybrid or flexible schedule as determined with supervisor and within ASU/Enterprise Technology guidelines.
