Job Description
Financial Clerk
The State of Connecticut, Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking to fill three (3) Financial Clerk positions within the Department's Contracts Regional Support Unit. The first position will cover Region 3 which is located primarily at Norwich Area Office, Willimantic Area Office or Middletown Area Office. The second position will cover Region 4 which is located at Hartford Area Office or Manchester Area office. The third position will cover Region 5 which is located primarily at Waterbury Area office, Danbury Area Office or Torrington Area Office.

Position Highlights:
Full-time, 40 hour per week
First (1st) shift
Monday - Friday
Flexible hours

The Role:
Perform a variety of professional fiscal and administrative functions;
Process Regional provider aging statements;
Review and process all Care4Kids documents;
Review and resolve problematic invoices;
Oversee provider set-up process.

Qualifications & Requirements
Two (2) years of clerical experience in accounting, financial record keeping or bookkeeping.

College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of two (2) years.
