|
Automation Controls Engineer This position is part of the Industrial Automation Department located in Coralville, IA and will be on-site. At IDT, we are one global team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Collaborate on a multidiscipline team to design control systems for custom equipment used in the DNA manufacturing processes. - Design control system schematics in EPLAN and other CAD software to meet equipment requirements, safety, and industry standards. - Write Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) logic and design Human-machine interface (HMI) to control and monitor DNA manufacturing processes. - Work with design team to assemble, test, and optimize prototype designs. - Collaborate and effectively communicate with all levels of IDT staff within various departments to facilitate successful project and process outcomes including requirements gathering, project updates, installation, and hyper care. - Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field OR an associate degree plus 5 years - Minimum of 5+ years of related experience - Proficiency in automation equipment/system design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting. - Proficiency in control panel design, PLC programming, and HMI programming - Strong project management and communication skills It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: - Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 PLC and HMI development - Electrical schematic development with EPLAN platform - Relevant knowledge of electrical and safety design standards including NEC, NFPA, UL, IEC, CE Contact Information
