Who You Are As the Nursing Coordinator, you will interface with students, faculty, and staff to maintain clinical contracts and ensure that students have met the requirements for clinical rotations for all Nursing and Nurse Aide programs on the Larimer Campus. You will collaborate with the administrative assistant, faculty, and program directors to ensure student compliance documents are current by required deadlines. You will assist students in trouble shooting and problem solving for barriers in providing required documents. In this role, you will communicate with various stakeholders including: Internal communications with nursing and nurse aide faculty, the nursing program administrative assistant, Career Technical Education advisors, nursing and nurse aide students, the Academic Dean’s office, IT, and the fiscal department External communication with clinical coordinators from other educational institutions and clinical placement platform, human resources, management and staff at clinical agencies. This position does have the opportunity to work remotely occasionally but does require a strong on-campus presence and will need to travel to all three FRCC campuses. Primary Duties Clinical Compliance Act as liaison in consultation with faculty to interpret and match the needs of students and faculty to agencies with appropriate learning experiences, building and maintaining excellent working relationships with all. Provide administrative support for the clinical compliance requirements for nursing and nurse aide students in the FRCC-LC Associate Degree Nursing Program, RN-BSN, and Nurse Aide Certificate Programs. Network with various medical facilities and colleges both formally and informally and ongoing contact with agency staff and management, maintaining a database for nursing student placement. Maintain files and records of FT faculty, PT instructors and students ensuring compliance and accuracy with agency requirements. Initiate clinical agency contracts and send attestation documents to clinics as requested. Collaborate with Program Directors to maintain and update the clinical schedule at all times. Coordinate with course lead faculty and program administrative assistant to document student and faculty compliance with all clinical agency requirements prior to the first day of class each semester. Coordinate all required pre-rotation agency specific training/assignments for students and clinical faculty prior to clinical rotations (i.e. HIPAA/OSHA, computer training) Schedule information sessions for students related to paperwork completion, expectations, and requirements. Aid students in understanding requirements and expectations for completing and submitting documents and communicate with the students until paperwork collection is complete. Collaborate with directors and lead faculty in the coordination of class list and distribution of attestation forms including all student and faculty information for each clinical facility prior to each clinical rotation per agency requirements. Work in designated applications for rotation and compliance set up as needed per site and/or program. Work with Student Life to request student name badges. Notify agencies, course lead faculty, and program directors of any changes to class roster/student placement or need for further communication. Participate in advisory board meetings when requested by department chair. Student Tracking Consult with Nursing Chair and Program Directors to determine what tracking is needed for program admission. Establish and maintain a database of students in programs using program specific enrollment tracking. Communicate with the students to acquire necessary documentation. Maintain Dean approved program specific waitlists. Back-Up Administrative Support Provide administrative support for on-campus community facing clinics and other events offered by the Nursing department and programs. Respond to student questions about school of nursing sciences programs. Provide resource information as needed. Contracts Work with contracts to renew and request new contracts and MOU’s. Read contracts and MOU’s to ascertain if there are changes in clinic requirements and notifying the Program Directors of the changes. Assist faculty with contracts process to ensure compliance.
