Behavioral Health Prevention Specialist position. Behavioral Health Prevention Specialist
:
Under the supervision of the Director of Prevention and Children’s Behavioral Health Programs, assists with planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating behavioral health prevention programs for both children and adults residing in Cuyahoga County. Assists in the planning, development, and sustaining of a recovery-oriented system of care.

The ADAMHS Board currently offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing employees to work two days from home and three days in the office each week following the completion of the probationary period.

The salary for this position is $67,000.

Qualifications & Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Public Health or related area (or equivalent experience) with three years of experience in an administrative and supervising capacity for a community-based prevention program.

Must possess either an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Certification or a State of Ohio license through the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage & Family Board.

Strong leadership skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.

Strong knowledge base and expertise regarding the standards of behavioral health prevention as well as the provision of services and programming.

Understanding of compliance measures through Ohio Mental Health & Addiction Services relative to prevention programming, certification and services.

Under Ohio law, the ADAMHS Board is one of 50 Boards coordinating the public mental health and addiction treatment and recovery system in Ohio. The Board is a quasi-independent part of county government, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
