Job Description
Latin/Classics Teacher
Founded in 1866, Noble and Greenough School is an academic community dedicated to student growth and self-discovery. Nobles inspires students to achieve their highest potential and to lead lives characterized by service to others. One of the school’s deepest values is “relationship before task”—a belief that excellence is built on community and connection. Nobles is committed to creating a learning environment that represents diversity of race, gender identities, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, national origin, background, experience, and perspective. Doing so is intrinsic to our mission and improves the educational experience for all.

Nobles seeks a full-time, experienced Latin/classics teacher to begin in late August 2025. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background, a minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience, and be committed to ongoing growth in their classroom practice and curricular development. This position may require teaching across divisions, in both the Upper School and the Middle School. A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree with an appropriate focus is preferred. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic department whose members are passionate about classical languages and literature and enjoy working collaboratively and developing positive student-teacher relationships. The Noble and Greenough School looks for multifaceted educators eager to contribute significantly to the life of the school in at least one non-academic area (e.g., athletics, community service, admissions, or performing arts) outside of their teaching.

Nobles seeks candidates who desire ongoing professional growth and demonstrate a dedication to young people. We have long been committed to diversity, and take pride in attracting and supporting faculty and staff from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences. People of color, people with disabilities, members of the LGBTQ community, religious minorities, and members of other historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. Please note that Nobles does offer campus housing as a benefit for some positions, but the availability is extremely limited and not guaranteed. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.A. to be considered. To apply, please complete the online application at www.nobles.edu.
