The successful candidate will guide the Department in fulfilling Federal requirements outlined in the FHWA’s All Roads Network of Linear Referenced Data (ARNOLD), Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS), and Model Inventory of Roadway Elements (MIRE) initiatives.

The role requires collaboration with unit and office staff, as well as other Department of Transportation offices and public entities, to collect, model, enhance, analyze, report, and expand the Roadway Inventory features and assets within the network. The Transportation Planner 2 will report to a Transportation Assistant Planning Director or employee of a higher level.
