The Western Connecticut Mental Health Network (WCMHN), under the umbrella of the State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Advanced Clinical Social Worker (PCN 142083) to join our team in a part time capacity. This position will provide clinical services as a part of our Mobile Crisis Team in Torrington. Find out more information on this great opportunity below!

Work Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week
Work Shift: Second shift, 3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Be a member of an interdisciplinary Mobile Crisis Team that provides crisis evaluations and interventions in the community.
Clinically assess risk in the community, formulate immediate interventions, and administer Emergency Certificates, as clinically indicated.
Provide support to a mental health network that is passionate about improving the lives of those we serve.

Qualifications & Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE
One (1) year of experience as a licensed clinical social worker.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience performing intake (psychosocial) assessments and initial care planning.
Experience completing community-based crisis assessments.
Experience completing risk assessments and developing risk mitigation plans.
Experience providing trauma-informed services to individuals with severe and prolonged mental illness, addiction, and co-morbid medical conditions.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Incumbents in this class must possess and retain a license to practice clinical social work pursuant to Sec. 20-195 (m) through (r) of the Connecticut General Statutes.
Incumbents in this class must possess and maintain eligibility for participation in federal health care programs as defined in 42 U.S. § 1320a-7b(f).
