The State of Connecticut, Department of Children and Families (DCF) – Albert J. Solnit Children’s Center - North Campus, is accepting applications for one (1) full-time Facility Operations Supervising Nurse position within the Operations Unit located in East Windsor, CT. About the Albert J. Solnit Children’s Center: At the Albert J. Solnit Children’s Center, we treat our youth and each other with dignity and respect. It is in this relational, cultural and gender sensitive surrounding that our therapeutic milieu is based. Interdisciplinary teams develop, implement and continually assess individualized treatment plans. The Solnit North Campus serves as a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, providing treatment to adolescent males between the ages of 13 and 17 with complex psychiatric needs. The program is designed to be the bridge from hospital to home and community or as a diversionary placement to avoid the need for a hospital stay. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE - Four (4) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse in a hospital, regional, institutional or psychiatric setting. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED - A Bachelor’s degree in nursing may be substituted for one (1) year of the General Experience. - A Master's degree in nursing may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience working in a hospital, regional, institutional, or psychiatric setting. - Experience working with children in a hospital, regional, institutional, or psychiatric setting.
