The State of Connecticut, Department of Correction (DOC) is seeking to fill a position for highly motivated and experienced Supervising Clinician at our York Correctional Institution in East Lyme, CT.

POSITION DETAILS
This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position on 2nd shift. Schedule is Monday-Friday between 2:00pm and 10:00pm.

The Supervising Clinician at these Institutions work within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team comprised of social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists and APRNs, as well as medical personnel and custody staff, all sharing the common goal of providing high quality, service oriented care. Additional opportunities to engage in collaborative discharge planning with external support services and research driven programming, are also encouraged and available.

Qualifications & Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Seven (7) years of professional health care experience in a psychiatric setting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SPECIAL EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years of the General Experience must have been at a lead level responsible for coordinating the work of a unit or team of professionals in a psychiatric setting.

NOTE: For state employees this experience is interpreted at the level of an Advanced Clinical Social Worker for social work discipline, Head Nurse for the nursing discipline, an Advanced Professional Counselor and an Advanced Marital and Family Therapist.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED
College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
A Master's Degree in a health care field related to one of the disciplines in the Special Experience may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.
