Job Overview

The Middle School History Teacher and Advisor will be adept at teaching United States history from its Indigenous roots through the Civil War in Class 6. This teacher will also serve as an advisor. This position necessitates a thorough understanding of Middle School children as well as a desire to work with and advocate for them.

Qualifications & Requirements
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

Previous middle school teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in history education, elementary education, or other related fields

Advisory experience or equivalent

Experience with a variety of curricular programs such as The Writing Revolution, the workshop model, and TCi

Familiarity and commitment to project-based and inquiry-based learning
