POSITION HIGHLIGHTS - This position is full-time, following a first shift schedule, 40 hours per week, based in Wethersfield, CT, with occasional statewide travel for meetings, training, site visits, inspections, and other activities. - After successful completion of the working test period, the role may offer a hybrid telework schedule, providing greater work flexibility. - In this essential role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of requests for proposals (RFP), grants, and contracts for both facility and community-based health and human service programs. - Your work will ensure compliance with policies and regulations, facilitate the development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), prepare contracts and agreements, manage payments, and oversee budget allocations to maximize program effectiveness. The Connecticut Department of Correction (DOC) is the agency responsible for corrections in the U.S. state of Connecticut. The agency operates 13 correctional facilities. It has its headquarters in Wethersfield. The DOC protects public safety by ensuring offenders serve their sentences of imprisonments in facilities that are safe, human, and provide re-entry programming. The State of Connecticut, Department of Correction is a unified system; all sentenced and un-sentenced offenders are supervised by the DOC. The Department also provides supervision for offenders on parole, community release, and other discretionary release programs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE - Seven (7) years of experience in planning, implementation and/or management of grant programs on a community, state or federal level. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED - College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree. - A Master's degree in a closely related field may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.
