The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is currently seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our team as a Clinical Social Worker. As a key member of our multidisciplinary staff, you’ll provide individual and group therapy, collaborate on psychiatric evaluations, and support clients through trauma-informed care. Our experienced team uses a variety of evidence-based approaches—including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—to guide individuals toward healing and recovery. Its primary goal is to provide high quality behavioral health services to those in our community with mental health and substance use disorders who are 18 years or older and reside in New London County and its surrounding towns. Services, which include case management, outpatient behavioral health, crisis intervention, respite care, and forensic services, are recovery oriented and offered in a trauma informed and culturally sensitive manner. We support individuals to identify and achieve their own goals in recovery, fostering independence, dignity, and ability.
