Telecommunications Dispatcher (Part-time) Location Middletown, CT Date Opened 5/15/2025 12:00:00 AM Salary $25.26* - $33.13/hour (*New state employees start at the minimum) Job Type Open to the Public Close Date 5/23/2025 11:59:00 PM The State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is now hiring a part-time Telecommunications Dispatcher to support our Safety Services Division. In this essential role, you’ll provide communications and dispatch services, including coordinating medical transport and dispatching police officers for safety and emergency situations. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: DIVISION: DMHAS, Office of the Commissioner LOCATION: Middletown, CT SCHEDULE: Part-time, 10 hours per week HOURS/DAYS: Second Shift, 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with the following rotating days (4 workdays total per biweekly pay period): -WEEK 1: Friday, Tuesday -WEEK 2: Thursday, Tuesday POSITION NUMBER: 145603 DISCOVER THE OPPORTUNITY TO: Play a key role in emergency response and public safety communications Support first responders by coordinating timely and accurate dispatch services Join a mission-driven team dedicated to protecting and serving vulnerable populations Help ensure a safe environment for clients, staff, and the broader community Contribute to a collaborative, supportive, and fast-paced team of professionals ABOUT US: DMHAS is a health care agency whose mission is to promote the overall health and wellness of persons with behavioral health needs through an integrated network of holistic, comprehensive, effective, and efficient services and supports that foster dignity, respect, and self-sufficiency in those we serve.
