Programs You’ll Work With: >Junior Tournaments >Junior Circuit Events >Team NC >Early Development Camps (EDCs) >Junior Team Tennis (JTT) Stakeholders You’ll Work With: >Tournament Directors/Event Providers >Officials >Junior Parents >Community Tennis Associations >Parks & Recreation Departments >Tennis Directors & Teaching Professionals >Volunteers/Committee Members >National and Regional Colleagues What You’ll Do As the Junior Play Coordinator, your time will be spent facilitating the administrative duties related to the various components of the Junior Tennis Pathway. More specifically, you will: >Provide administrative support to the Junior Play Department. >Provide database maintenance for junior competition, including survey. results, tournament director compliance, and junior participation reports. >Assist with event sanction and scheduling. >Serve as initial telephone contact to answer questions and address concerns of members, players and volunteers. >Serve as a staff liaison to assigned committees. >Learn and demonstrate proficiency with industry tools such as Serve Tennis, Safe Play, TennisLink, Stripe, and other products employed for registration and member services. >Assist with camps as needed. >Work with other staff to grow all programs through shared ideas and collaboration. What You’ll Need You will need to have exceptional organizational skills to keep up with the hundreds of Junior Pathway programs happening around the state. We do require that all of our team members complete the United States Olympic Committee’s Safe Sport Training within 45 days of hiring. These skills and attributes are helpful as well: >Clear and concise communication skills. >Ability to manage several deadline-driven tasks concurrently. >A commitment to excellent customer service. >A desire to promote and develop tennis. >Tennis knowledge and experience, particularly USTA Junior Programming. >Positive demeanor. >Ability to drive to event locations throughout the state. >Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. The starting salary range for this position is $41-43K depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, the position includes a comprehensive, competitive benefit package. Additional Information For You Work Environment This position operates in an office setting, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. At times, this position requires work offsite including at trainings, meetings, tennis tournaments and other special events. Weekend and holiday work is required from time to time. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk frequently. The employee must be able to lift up to 10-20 pounds occasionally. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time nonexempt position. Typical days and core hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, but hours outside of the typical days and core business hours are required, including weekend work due to tournaments, meetings, and special events. Travel The position requires travel including but not limited to meetings, events and workshops within the State of North Carolina as well as occasional out-of-state travel including nights and weekends.
