Joseph Glenn Smith, II was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to two wonderful parents whom from the beginning taught him the value of seizing opportunities, getting an education and making a lasting contribution to the world to improve the lives of others and make it a better place than when he came into it. Early in life he knew that the world was in need of those that champion and advance the cause of justice. At the age of 23 he graduated from Wayne State College and received his Bachelors degree in Journalism. He uses his fiery voice and commanding stage presence to advance the cause of education, human rights and political empowerment for all the worlds� peoples.

Since that time Joseph lives and works in Omaha, Nebraska. The speaker, author and educator has co-authored a book with some of the nations top motivational speakers entitled Ready, Set, Succeed: How to make your dream come true. This book reinforces the truth which is that all people have the power to bring about their personal and professional joy. It strengthens the message that all of our dreams, no matter what they may be are important, necessary and possible.

In addition, he is the Vice-Chairman of the Nebraska Democratic Party Black Caucus, where he empowers the community through politics. He serves as a personal empowerment and enrichment teacher at Omaha North High School in Omaha, Nebraska preparing youth to make their dreams a reality and bring out the leader within. He is also the CEO of New World Vision, a company he launched in 2007 that is dedicated to changing the operational attitudes of people world-wide so that all people will recognize their lives are intertwined with one another in hopes that everyone will rededicate their time and energies to social justice and establishing greater levels of positive productive progress for the entire planet! Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Joseph has a natural ability to connect with people and is especially effective at establishing and nurturing a rapport with young people and political activists. Because of his constant work in the educational and political community, he has surfaced as an expert on youth, minority issues and politics. He is a consultant in this area and has worked with local educational institutions as well as with political and healthcare organizations.
