Hello my name is Desiree Small and I am here to enter for an opportunity for myself to succeed and thrive continuously at Essex County College. Describing myself is one of the toughest tasks to do, but it's fascinating too, to put it into words. I believe our traits - be they positive or negative - make us the person we are to the world. When it comes to my personality, people can have different opinions because they see what they want to see in me,and that's okay. So, I would describe myself from the paradigm I see myself from in different aspects.As a person, I believe life is an art, and I am the artist of my life. I try to keep it full of colors and as cheerful as possible no matter what life throws at me. I Am an enthusiast and a person full of curiosity. Curious to know what life is all about and what it holds in the future I like to keep a smile on my face no matter what I am going through, and that smile keeps me going. Therefore, I am an extrovert, and I like to meet people. I love to experience their lives, cultures, and traditions, which makes me happy and cheerful. Moreover, I am reliable. The reasoning for that is because I have successfully thrived in my journey at Essex county college. I started from not knowing who I wanted to be and who I wanted to become in life to being academically positive in my journey because of Essex County College. I have gone from having C’s and D’s to A’s and B’s and being able to succeed and be a part of the deans list and all because of Essex County college. I have experienced so many opportunities such as being a part of the music Club and having the courage to perform in front of a crowd. I have contributed my artistry to the school by creating the dance and step team to writing and creating my very own musical in the drama club.
Now I can continue my educational journey at Morgan state university.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I want to major in art and graphic design and minor in theatre.

I want to make the most of it out of Morgan State University. it is my dream school I have wanted to go to since I was a little kids and dreamed about. I successfully have been accepted and will be transferring there in the fall of 2023.
High School: edison high school in edison , NJ class of 2018
