Tell us about the businesses you own and what inspired you to
be an entrepreneur?
I own Hill Motor Corporation, a pre-owned car dealership in Enterprise, AL. It's a female and minority-owned business. I run it with my partner, Eunice.
Tell us about some of your entrepreneurial accomplishments to date?
We grew Hill Motor Company from the 10k range to the 3mil range in five years. I guess it's major to me because we weren't really trying to do that. We were just trying to do our best with what God gave us. We set goals, but you just don't see the progress while you're working it, not till you look back and say, wow... We did that? We are the largest minority-owned business in our small city and one of the largest revenue producers here minority or otherwise.
What are some of your business goals you have yet to achieve?
I really want to change the world, but that's kind of a big task, so I will settle for having an impact on the world around me one day at a time. We'll see what happens. I realized that I like building business. I'm not in it for the money, I love the work! I want to grow a few more businesses.
What advice do you have to offer to other aspiring entrepreneurs?
I love to see people with passion, WORKING with determination to be the best at what they are doing even when nobody is looking. I never feel worthy of offering advice, but I'm worthy. I would say, find something or someone that drives you to put your whole self in it each and every day, regardless of the account standing, regardless of the failures of the day, regardless of the critics, and you are way ahead of the game.
