Posted By: How May I Help You NC on January 13, 2017 Hometown: Columbus, Georgia Year in School: Senior Major/Minor: Early Childhoods Education, Minor-Sociology Expected Graduation: 2017 Extracurricular Activities: I am an active member of Student Government Association, NAACP, Class Council, and Girls Incorporated Alunmae Association. Leisure Activities: In my spare time I love to spend quality time with my family, explore fashion, volunteers at Girls Incorporated, and engage with my student body. Career Goals: My future plans are to become a mathematics and Early Childhood Education professor at Albany State University. After I retire, I am striving to become the CEO of Girls Incorporated of America and takes it programs and missions to a global level. What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen?: My most memorable moment as a Campus Queen was having my mother share her recovery story with my student body. My I stand firmly on my platform which is entitled "Get Addicted!" which is based around drug and alcohol awareness, but I want to show my student body that not all addictions are negative. My motivation behind my platform is my mother. On August 23, 2016 my mother celebrated 21 years clean of crack/coccaine. We collaborated and held an empowerment program and her story moved so many people. I wanted my student body to know where I come from and things that I have faced and that you can't let anything hold you back from achieving your goals. Several of my fellow colleagues has experienced similar situations with their families and they now have an outlet to accept the past and embrace the future.
