I also aspire to vie for the title of Miss Georgia. After competing, I plan to become a child counselor. What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen?: My most memorable contribution, thus far being the queen of Voorhees College would have to be helping the students here at my illustrious HBCU. My platform is "to educate, change and strengthen young minds and young lives." For my platform to be successful, I work with all the students. I take time out of every day to check on the students. I go to the dormitory's and cafeteria to make sure the students are not having any problems as it relates to teachers, home, school, money, or anything else. I even go to the library to help with tutoring. I spend most of my time with the freshmen's because I feel they need the most guidance. I teach them about the different majors at Voorhees college and what steps they need to take to graduate on time. I go to their teachers to see if any of them are falling behind or not coming to class. I reach out to the ones that do. It makes me happy when I do because the students make me feel special. They tell me they are happy I care and is willing to helping them in any way possible, which is true. Read more at EBONY http://www.ebony.com/contestants/amelia-co...
