The goal of this event is to raise awareness about addiction in our city. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and interact with this semester’s guest study participants, hear from several of our student researchers and have the opportunity to view their work. Keynote Speakers are Mrs. Dawn Elder and Dr. William Woods. We hold a Jessica’s Project event each semester where we present research into various health-related conditions. Jessica’s Project is a civic engagement model of education that encourages a culture of good health. The research is done by our students and in collaboration with community partners. This research has a direct and positive impact on the individuals we serve each semester and the broader community. Over the past five years, we have researched autism, cystic fibrosis, spina bifida, type II diabetes, obesity, Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, ulcerative colitis, HIV/AIDS, stroke, and teen pregnancy.
