Give to Medgar Evers College Education Foundation

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on November 16, 2018 Did you know that of the 7,000 students enrolled at Medgar Evers College, 58% are recipients of Pell grants? Pell is a need-based grant awarded to low-income students attending college. Despite Pell, TAP and other need-based financial aid assistance, Medgar Evers College has an estimated 300 students that are reported homeless. Making education a primary focus is a major challenge for students who are dealing with issues surrounding poverty. What are we doing about it? Help MEC design a hunger-free community for our students! Medgar Evers College is introducing a Campus Food Pantry and an emergency assistance grant program to help fight hunger on our campus. This is a great chance to make a difference in the MEC community. Please join us in our efforts to help our students in need. The Medgar Evers College Educational Foundation strives to raise at least $50,000 this year to stock the pantry and provide food vouchers throughout the year. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference. Please consider encouraging your friends, family and colleagues to join us to work towards ending hunger on the MEC campus this year. Please give today! Make a Gift: https://www.cunytuesday.org/organizations/... If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
