Black Essence is a modeling team that shows the internal and external beauty of our campus students. The Yard Voices of Praise is a gospel group comprised of on campus students. We've sang from Pine Bluff, AR to Norfolk Virginia. I am the current President of Delta Mu Delta Honor Society. This is an honor society within the school of business. The requirement is a 3.25 GPA in order to become an active member. Career Goals: As Senior majoring in accounting from Helena-West Helena Arkansas, I strongly believe that education is a very powerful tool for self-elevation. As Nelson Mandela states, "Education is the most powerful weapon which can be used to change the world." I chose accounting because I would love to work as a loan officer. Loan officers are very essential to customers in underserved communities. People that live in rural areas often have bad credit. Loan officers are the people who help repair credit and qualifies the customer for a loan. What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus King?: Although the school year hasn't been long started, I've learned that it's not the quantity of things that you do, but it's the quality of those things that matters the most. My first memorable contribution was a monetary donation to St. Jude's Children Hospital. We often say that our children are our future. That's why it's important that we invest in them, even at their lowest point. My next most memorable moment, was donation to the Hurricane Dorian victims. My heart goes out to the families who have lost loved ones due to this horrible tragedy. I was able to donate tissue, water, and money to help those families in need.
