Texas College Homecoming Begins This Sunday

Texas College is pleased to announce the return of a full in-person Homecoming for 2022.
Taking place Sunday, November 6 - Sunday, November 13, the College has an exciting schedule of
festivities planned for students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of Texas College. Although
Homecoming 2022 will be in-person, select events will also be streamed for Steers throughout the nation.

Notable Homecoming 2022 events include:
• Miss Texas College Coronation
Homecoming 2022 begins with the official crowning of Miss Kai’lyn Primus as the 2022-2023 Miss Texas College. A live stream of this event will also be available.

• Gospel Explosion
The College remains committed to its faith-based founding as the Texas College Choir presents an evening of worship through gospel music, featuring national recording gospel artist Ernest Pugh, as well as a special word delivered by Dr. Jamal Bryant, Pastor of New Birth Church in Atlanta, Georgia.

• Steer Preview Day
Steer Preview Day is a dynamic opportunity for prospective students to visit Texas College and tour the campus, as well as to meet key faculty and administrators.



This is an excellent time for you to learn more about the admission process, academic programs, applying for financial aid and scholarships, residential life, athletics, band, choir, Greek life, and more!

• Homecoming Program
Hosted by the Texas College National Alumni Association, this event serves as a formal commemoration of Homecoming with a program that welcomes home Alumni, family, and friends of the College, as well as embraces current students to foster an environment of Texas College unity and fellowship. The program will include the dedication of the Dr. Merrilyn Womack Faison Conference Room, among other presentations. A live stream of this event will also be available.

• Homecoming Parade
To kick off an eventful Homecoming Saturday, a multitude of student, alumni, and community organizations will be in procession and on full display to celebrate Texas College and Homecoming 2022. A live stream of this event will also be available.

• Homecoming Women’s Basketball Game
Texas College Women’s Basketball faces off against Texas Wesleyan University. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the game.

• Homecoming Football Game
Texas College Steer Football faces off against Louisiana Christian University. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the game. A live stream of this event will also be available.

• Homecoming Men’s Basketball Game
Texas College Men’s Basketball faces off against Holy Patriot University. At halftime, the 1992 -1993 Men’s Basketball National Championship Team will be honored. Tickets are $10 and may be
purchased at the game.
