Her journey is marked by exceptional academic achievements, athletic prowess, and dedication to public service. Torres graduated from Alabama State University in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in science, where she excelled academically and distinguished herself as a standout track and field athlete, securing multiple championships for the university. During her time at Alabama State, she actively participated in campus life, holding prestigious titles such as Miss Junior and Miss Gold on the Alpha Phi Alpha Miss Black and Gold Court. Alongside her athletic pursuits, Torres gained valuable experience through internships and ambassadorships, including a notable role at HBCU Pulse, demonstrating her commitment to personal growth and community engagement. Furthering her education, Torres pursued a Master of Public Administration degree at American University, specializing in state and local management, cyber policy and management, and public management. Beyond her academic and professional achievements, Torres is passionate about advocacy, particularly for children with incarcerated parents. Winning the title of Miss District of Columbia USA 2024 has afforded Torres the opportunity to represent the District on a national stage, competing for the coveted Miss USA crown at the Peacock Theater in Hollywood, California.
