Healthy Men Disquised

Juniques Multi Cultural Connections (http://jusmcc.net) announces a collaboration with Healthy Men Disguised,(https://healthymendisguised.com/) a company that focus on providing activities that promote healthy lifestyle connecting with health professionals who provide support services. Our sole purpose is to promote better life and health educational support for all men with a focus on Prostate, Colon, Lung, and Testicular Cancers. Additionally, we place attention to Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, and Mental Health (particularly Suicide, Stress, Anxiety, Depression and Anger Management).

The number of Black men seeking mental wellness resources has been on the rise.

In recent years, mental health conversations have expanded within the Black community, and Black men are increasingly stepping into the conversation, seeking therapy to address mental health challenges. For example, a recent survey by the American Psychological Association found that Black men are now seeking therapy at rates 25 percent higher than in 2019. Another study indicated that among Black American men aged 18 to 40, the rate of those attending therapy sessions at least once has doubled over the last five years.

This shift can be attributed to several factors, including increased awareness of mental health issues, the availability of culturally competent therapists, and the convenience of online therapy options. Despite these positive trends, there are still cultural barriers that Black men face when seeking therapy, such as societal pressures to remain strong and stoic and a lingering distrust in the healthcare system.
