High School Forensic Science Career Day Announced at Lincoln University -Pennsylvania

Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on December 17, 2024 Lincoln University’s HBCU Undergraduate Center for Forensic Science is set to host a Forensic Science Career Day, designed to provide high school students with hands-on experience in forensic science through workshops led by industry professionals. DATE: Wednesday, December 18th, 2024 TIME: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM LOCATION: SACE, Lincoln University, Philadelphia Campus, 3020 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA PARTICIPANTS: ● High school students (11th and 12th grade) from the Philadelphia area ● Forensic science practitioners and laboratory directors ● Participating organizations: ○ Philadelphia Police Department Office of Forensic Sciences ○ PA State Police Forensic Laboratory ○ MD State Police Forensic Laboratory ○ Washington DC Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ● Thomas Gluodenis, MBA, PMFS, PhD, Professor, Dept of Chemistry & Physics, Lincoln University ● Edison Freire, Vice President, School of Adult and Continuing Education, Lincoln University This engaging event will involve 50-60 eleventh and twelfth grade students from various high schools across the Philadelphia area. The Forensic Science Career Day is a key initiative by the HBCU Undergraduate Center for Forensic Science to use SACE as a gateway to the main campus, showcasing Lincoln University's commitment to providing a top-tier liberal arts education and rigorous STEM preparation.
