Spoken Poets InTellectualizing™ Honoring Nikki! -Call for Submissions- Gumbo for the Soul Publications is in the process of developing our first “strictly poetry” publication by the visionary team of Gumbo for the Soul International®, headed by Beverly Black Johnson; the creator of Gumbo for the Soul Publications and TRIBE Family Channel®, home of Soul School Music with Marshall Thompson of The Chi-Lites. This anthology will follow six previously published series that focuses primarily on literacy; family; philanthropy; the community; health and education. This inaugural “strictly poetry” edition is due out on what would have been Nikki Giovanni’s 83rd birthday, June 7, 2026.
