Valedictorian Michaela Chapple Receives $40,000 Scholarship, Commits to Oakwood University
Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on June 12, 2026

Oakwood University congratulates incoming freshman Michaela Chapple, valedictorian of Ephesus Academy’s Class of 2026, on earning a $40,000 academic scholarship and officially committing to Oakwood University.

Michaela, a Pre-Med major from Montgomery, Alabama, has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and leadership throughout her high school career.

Her parents, Michael and Bernadette Chapple, expressed heartfelt appreciation for Oakwood’s personal investment in their daughter’s future and for the support shown during her senior commencement ceremony.

Christopher Tulloch, director of recruitment, worked with Michaela throughout the past year and, along with Amelia Hernandez, enrollment specialist, played a key role in helping the Chapple family confidently say “yes” to Oakwood.

We celebrate Michaela’s accomplishments and look forward to welcoming her to campus this fall as she begins her journey toward a career in medicine.
