Posted By: HBCU CONNECT on June 05, 2026 Check out this video from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia! The Spelman College Board of Trustees has officially elected Dr. Ayanna Howard as the 12th President of Spelman College. Dr. Howard is a world-renowned roboticist, a global pioneer in artificial intelligence, an accomplished entrepreneur, and former dean of the College of Engineering at Ohio State University. Crucially, she also brings deep familiarity with our local community from her 15-year tenure right down the street at Georgia Tech. Her exceptional leadership background in human-centered technology aligns perfectly with our institutional values and positions her uniquely to accelerate the Spelman Forward campaign.
