Posted By: HBCU CONNECT on March 30, 2026 Check out this video from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas! For the first time in Texas Southern University's history, every core function of TSU Athletics is led by women. In this Women’s History Month premiere, we sit down with the leaders behind this historic moment. Dr. Paula L. Jackson serves as the university’s first female Interim Athletics Director, alongside Dr. Dwalah Fisher, Assistant AD and Senior Woman Administrator, and Kimberly Evans, Assistant AD for Academic Enhancement. Together, they represent a powerful shift in leadership, visibility, and impact across TSU Athletics. But this story goes beyond leadership. It is also about authorship. “Who Does She Think She Is” was intentionally written, produced, and shot by an all-women communications and production team. From concept to final cut, women shaped every part of this project, ensuring that the storytelling matched the significance of the moment. Throughout the month, we have highlighted the voices and journeys of women across Texas Southern University. This film brings those themes together through leadership, legacy, and the next generation. Featuring our women student-athletes, this story reflects the standard at TSU, where excellence, representation, and firsts are not rare; they are expected. So when you ask, “Who does she think she is?” She is leading. She is building. She is setting the standard. She is Texas Southern University. 🐯 If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
