Posted By: Will Moss on September 02, 2026

In a triumphant announcement, Benedict College has welcomed 731 new traditional undergraduate students for Fall 2026, marking the institution's highest new enrollment since 2019. This significant milestone represents a 15.3% increase over Fall 2025 and marks the third consecutive year of rising new undergraduate enrollment at the college.

Since Fall 2023, Benedict's traditional undergraduate enrollment has surged by more than 56%. Notably, the college has experienced exceptional growth among first-time, first-year students. For Fall 2026, 602 new first-year students have enrolled, reflecting a remarkable 29.5% increase from the previous year. The average high school GPA of the incoming class is 3.1. Furthermore, Benedict College has welcomed 106 new transfer students this term.

Dr.

Roslyn Clark Artis, President and CEO of Benedict College, remarked, "These results reflect the strength and continued momentum of Benedict College. As more students choose Benedict, we remain focused on expanding opportunities, delivering academic excellence, and preparing our students to lead and serve. We are proud to welcome another strong class of new Tigers to our community."

The geographic diversity of the Fall 2026 class is notable, with new students hailing from 28 states and U.S. jurisdictions, as well as seven countries: The Bahamas, Barbados, Cameroon, Canada, Jamaica, Kenya, and Trinidad and Tobago. This international representation underscores Benedict College's broad appeal and reach.

Benedict College's continued success in attracting a diverse and talented student body highlights its status as a leading institution in higher education. The college's commitment to academic excellence and student development remains steadfast as it continues to build on this momentum.
