Posted By: HBCU CONNECT on September 08, 2026 Check out this video from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina! North Carolina Central University has made history. For the first time in the university’s history, enrollment has surpassed 10,000 students, with 10,124 Eagles making up the NCCU community for the 2026-27 academic year. Chancellor Karrie G. Dixon officially announces this historic milestone and recognizes the collective effort that made it possible, including the leadership of Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Ontario S. Wooden; Dr. Sharon Oliver, senior associate vice chancellor for Enrollment Management; and Michael Bailey, director of Undergraduate Admissions, along with faculty and staff across the university who support student recruitment, retention and success. Most importantly, this milestone belongs to Eagle Nation. To every student who chose NCCU, every family who placed their trust in this institution and every faculty and staff member who helps our Eagles succeed, thank you for being part of this historic moment. 10,124 students. One Eagle Nation. We are 10,000 Eagles Strong. #NCCU #WeAreNCCU #EaglePrideAmplified #HBCU #10KEaglesStrong If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
