On behalf of the Office of the President and the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, we are pleased to invite you to Albany State University’s President's Speaking Series. Join us on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Billy C. Black Building Auditorium on the East Campus for an inspiring evening. We are honored to welcome revered teacher, humanitarian, businessman, and community leader, Dr. Joseph W. Walker, III, as our featured speaker. Dr. Walker is Senior Pastor of the historic Mount Zion Baptist Church in Nashville, International Presiding Bishop of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, and a bestselling author whose books, including “Leadership and Loneliness” and “Restored At The Root,” speak to the emotional weight leaders carry and the path toward healing and restoration. A scholar to his core, he holds degrees from Southern University, Vanderbilt University, and Princeton Theological Seminary, and he has spent his career pouring into the next generation of college students across the country. Admission is free, but seating is limited, as previous sessions have reached capacity. This event is open to the public. We hope you will join ASU President, Dr. Robert Scott, for what promises to be an engaging and impactful evening of leadership, service, and community dialogue surrounding whole-person wellness, resilience & research-driven leadership.
